Text Box: Upcoming:  5/30/18, Meet at 13091 SE Evening Star Dr for “Neighbors”, 6:30pm—7:15pm
“Neighbors” takes us through the Happy Valley Heights neighborhood to the duck pond, through Wexford and back past the Happy Valley Nursery.  Easy walk with a couple of hills, generally minor elevation changes.  2.3 miles at a casual pace.  Dog and stroller friendly.

Text Box: Upcoming:  5/16/18, Meet at 13091 SE Evening Star Drive for “By the Creek”, 6:30pm—7:15pm
“By the Creek” takes us by the Happy Valley Nursery,  along William Otty Drive, and down to Mt. Scott Creek.  2.1 easy miles with a couple of slight inclines.  Should be fine for all abilities, slow paced and OK for dogs and strollers.

Text Box: Upcoming:  6/06/18, Meet at Grocery Outlet on 147th and Sunnyside, 6:30pm—7:15pm
“Grocery Outlet” is a casual walk through the neighborhoods south of Sunnyside.  Easy hike with minor elevation changes, 2.3 miles.   Should be fine for all abilities, slow paced and OK for dogs and strollers.

Text Box: Upcoming:  5/05/18, Meet at the Mt. Talbert parking lot (north), 8:30am—9:45am
We’ll explore the north side of Mt. Talbert Nature Park, meeting in the parking lot by Miramont Apartments.  This is a very difficult hike, so be prepared for some significant elevation changes and a medium pace covering around 3.5 miles.  No dogs or strollers.

Text Box: Upcoming:  5/19/18, Meet at the Happy Valley Park Splash Pad for a Combo Hike.  9:00am—10:30am
This is our 2.25 mile easy hike (45 minutes) combined with a 2 mile difficult hike to the top of Clatsop.  Great chance for hikers to mingle during the first portion.  Significant elevation changes on the second leg.  We loop back to the parking lot, so hikers can join for either or both.  Stroller friendly.

Text Box: Upcoming:  5/12/18, Happy Valley Fun Run @ Happy Valley Elementary School, 8:00am
We’ll be walking / running in the Happy Valley Fun Run 5k/10k.  Register at the link below or the day of the event.  Show up a little early, as parking will be tight.  Feel free to coordinate with each other if you’d like to walk together.  $36 benefits the school.  Kid Friendly.

Text Box: Upcoming:  5/14/18, Meet at City Hall on 162nd and Misty for “Fred Meyer”, 12:00pm—12:45pm
This is an easy 2.3 mile walk to the new Fred Meyer, then over to Stonybrook, returning along Sunnyside.  Casual pace, mostly flat topography.  Stroller, kid and dog friendly.

Doing some good for our friend and neighbor; Sue was diagnosed with cancer, and this event is raising funds to help offset the cost of treatments.  Walk starts at 1:30pm, and is an easy 5k around Happy Valley Park.  $65 donation goes to her fund.  Register at the link below.  Dog and kid friendly!

Text Box: Upcoming:  5/23/18, Meet at the Splash Pad in Happy Valley Park for “Casual”.  6:30pm—7:30pm
This will be an easy hike with minimal elevation changes, covering just under 2-1/2 miles.  We’ll keep the pace relatively slow, so this should take around an hour.  Good hike for beginners to see the park and check out the group.

Getting out for some serious exercise.  We’ll head down by Mt. Scott Creek, up through the Nature Park on Mt. Scott and finish by heading up Spring Mountain.  4+ miles, difficult with significant elevation changes.  You are welcome to park in the driveway.  Dog friendly.

This is our 4 mile, difficult hike along Shadow Ridge Trail and through the Sunrise Heights neighborhoods.  Two significant climbs, paved and wood chip trails.  Looking to maintain a moderate pace.  Not stroller friendly, but “Bob” approved.
